My name is Jonathan Garger and I am proud to be your Bakersfield dentist. I was raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and immediately after graduating dental school I worked as an Associate Dentist in Sarver, Pennsylvania. In 1990, I left the private sector to become a Dental Officer in the United States Air Force during the Desert Shield-Desert Storm period of 1990-1993. I was stationed at both George AFB near Victorville, California and Travis AFB in Fairfield, California.
After separating from the service in 1993, I was employed at a number of various dental offices in California as an Associate Dentist. It was during this time period that I learned a great deal about what worked in private dental practices, and what did not. When I started my own practice, I took with me the best ways to care for my patients and how to best meet all of their dental needs.
In 1999, I purchased the dental practice of Dr. Thomas Sherman, who I later found out had some of the nicest patients I had ever met! Although I was very happy with my wonderful patients, the office itself was dated and was in significant need of upgrades. In 2008, I moved my dental practice to the Riverwalk Medical Plaza on Stockdale Highway, and upgraded my equipment to the most efficient, safe, and comfortable dental equipment available, in order to provide the highest level of dental care to my special family of patients. My professional goal is to serve the dental needs of the wonderful people in our community. My personal commitment is to continue to improve my dental skills through continuous education courses and training, in order to continue providing the highest possible standard of dental care, gently, to each of my patients.
In my private time; I enjoy reading, especially about advances in dentistry. I also love to spend time dining out, traveling, watching movies, laughing, and taking long walks with my delightful wife Renee and our dog Hermie.
Offering you “High tech dentistry with old time care.”
